A coworker has a Trooper MK-III that will not cycle in DA mode, but fires fine in SA mode. I don't work on Colt revolvers, so does anyone know someone who could fix this in the Tulsa/Bixby area? Thanks!

Have you seen the gun? Troopers aren't as precisely made as Pythons, but I had a Python do that one time. It just decided that it was too dirty to shoot in DA mode, so it quit. Worked fine in SA. I guess the hammer has more leverage than the trigger. Once I cleaned it really good, it worked fine again.

I haven't examined it personally. He said the DA mode doesn't do anything (hammer or cylinder).

He has a broken trigger assembly then. The rear half of the trigger is attached to the cylinder hand, it is also attached to the safety so that means the firing pin can impact a primer till it gets fixed.

tell him to expect $100 to fix it. Thats almost the most expensive thing in there.
