I guess the first question is "Is the mum intact?"Looking for some info on condition, price etc. it shoots nice and on target.
I'm curious as to how much you paid for the ammo,,,
sgammo.com has it for $45.95 for a box of 20.
If you like the rifle you might consider biting the bullet so to speak,,,
And order a hundred rounds or so,,,
It won't ever get cheaper.
The only mil-surp I have left is the K98 Mauser,,,
That my great uncle Bantie brought back from Europe.
A few years ago I decided to make a one-time ammo purchase,,,
I bought 200 rounds of non-corrosive mil-surp for about 75-cents a round.
That's probably more than a lifetime supply for me now,,,
But whoever gets the rifle when I pass,,,
Will have a small stash to go with it.
Back in the early 60's mil-surp rifles were as common as dirt,,,
And many of them could be mail ordered for less than a Twenty Dollar bill.
IIRC I paid $14.99 + $1.00 shipping for my 7.7 Arisaka.
The army surplus store down the road sold ammo for it,,,
And many other mil-surp rifles for 10-cents a round.
Later my friend,,,
Aarond
.
I think I’m going to sell it if I can figure out a decent price, any help would be appreciated. 7.7 JAP next to a triple a battery.
