No upside to AIWb carry. Big downside to it. Plus trying to draw from behind the steering wheel without crossing your own body especially in dynamic situation is tough. I'll pass
So under stress youll never muzzle your own body?
I can think of many other ways to make it harder for your firearm to be drawn on you than to carry a large chunk of metal that close to my junk.
Scared? Lol
If you don't pull the trigger then you wont shoot yo self

ever wrestled on the ground with someone trying to take your gun? I have. **** happens and when it does why carry a gun where it will hit an artery? You can carry with the muzzle shoved up your ass and it will not go off unless the trigger is pulled but I choose to skip that method also. As to scared yep every time I holster a gun I treat it like it could fail mechanically and go full auto by itself.

AIWB is the preferred means of carry for a lot of guys, but D. Hargrove hit the nail on the head; if you've got a gut, it won't work too good. Since I don't have to worry about a fat roll, I carry AIWB pretty often. It don't think it's really feasible with a full size pistol like you're talking about, but my G43 or my PPS works fine. Use your Google-fu and check out Cherries Concealment for a pretty innovative AIWB holster. I don't have one, but a friend does and he says it works well. I use an IWB kydex holster by PJ Holsters that completely covers the trigger and mag release, and carry just to the right of center. I wouldn't use anything less rigid. When I do go with AIWB, I carry my spare mag as I usually do; on my belt, weak side, bullets facing forward.

Another upside to AIWB is that with a little practice, it is often much faster to draw your pistol.

EDITED: About the belt...not a big Looper fan, but it should be fine, until it breaks down and goes all full Walmart-floppy on you. You'll know when that happens and the grip is floppin' out over the floppiness of the now floppy belt.
