Anyone know a good gunsmith in the Tulsa area that can remove a RRA free float hand guard barrel nut. I want to change to a slim hand guard but I don't have a pin spanner wrench to get this puppy off.

Problem solved, I used the spanner wrench that came with an MI forearm, just put some pins in the nut holes and used the nubs on the wrench to backup on the pins. A 2 foot cheater bar got it off with no damage to the nut. By the way there was no loctite used in the assembly from RRA.

Is that a YHM barrel nut and jam nut? Even if not, it should work with your standard AR armorer's wrench. Mine always have. As for the jam nut, you'll probably need a special tool to get that just right. I've got one. Bring it all out to our AR build party in Tulsa on the 17th. Someone's bound to have what you need.

Sounds fun & Thanx for the invite, I'll see if I can make it.

I'm not sure what brand this nut is?

I bought my free float rail kit from the gun show here in OKC, it all came together...

What does your 2 tools you're talking about look like?
