dang i need to work at a full service repair shop, dad and i canged out a couple fuel pump on chevy trucks ranging from 95 to 01 models. cost of the part and a 12 pack and was finished in a couple hours. i agree with cut an access hole in the bed and do it yourself idea. much easier then dropping the tank.

In the good old days (carbs, not EFI), a fuel pump for a mid-1970s small block Chevy with no return line was $12.95, $16.95 with the return line. Generally took about 15 minutes to change (two bolts). Progress is wonderful....

Word to the wise, David. Those Wilmes boys are crooked as a barrel of snakes. You're just ten miles from Blair. Try Danny's Automotive just north of the Blair School. I've known him since he was a kid. He knows more about turning a wrench than he does about cheating people.
Tell him ignernt sent you.

All you guys who change that fuel pump with no problems probably don't have ten thumbs like poor ignernt does. These ten thumbs have been a hardship all my life. Thanks for rubbing it in.
