These REALLY do with just as good as advertised. Lots of fun to make too! We just coke cans with our scout troop, made 35 in one night, no one lost a finger.
Just made one out of 12 oz pop can. Boiled gi canteen cup to rolling boil in 7ish minutes. Pretty cool I think. Now need to get a fosters man can and build a supercharged can stove!

Spend twenty bucks and get the Trangia Spirit alcohol stove. The beer can stove brigade got their idea for an alcohol stove from Trangia, and not the other way around. The Swedes have been making them since about 1926.
Trangia stoves are really cool. It will definitely last longer than the beer can and you can adjust the heat output. I bought one off of amazon for $15 bucks.
