Since this thread started (and now revived) I’ve taken mine a step farther and bought the short barrel and did the paperwork for a an SBR.
I replaced the factory sights with Magpul and I have an Aimpoint Comp-2 on a low height rail mount. So far I have about 1500 rounds through mine with no malfunctions.
I bought an extra lower receiver with the hopes of modifying it to accept ALL magazines, but I haven’t been brave enough to attempt it yet.
