IDK, do the Matrix movies count? Not really apocalyptic, more like alternate reality.

The Matrix movies aren't really traditional post-apocalyptic movies, but, particularly after looking at "the real world" in those movies, I'd say they count.

Me & the wife were recently looking for some movies in this category & stumbled upon The Road. Out of all the end of civilization as we know it type movies, that one got me the most. I wish it had been a longer movie but it was pretty close to what I assume society would turn into. The ending was pretty fitting as well given the tone of the entire movie. We also picked up The Day After but havent got to watch it yet.

I saw The Crazies and found it very plausible ...something like that can happen today and wont be far-fetched. It got me thinking after I watched it.
