Best semi-auto shotgun on a budget?

I have a NEF excel auto 5, I was very hesitant to get it at first, but I got to throw down on some trap and skeet with it before I bought it, and I love it. I shoot it more than my benelli or Ithaca. It has been through hell and back, I dropped it in the water and had to go swimming after it even. I got it in camo for $400 I believe and I would buy another one in a heart beat, if you are ever around here I'll let you shoot this one. It's perfect for a throw in the truck hunting shotgun, I don't have to baby it like the the other thousand dollar safe queens I have.

My son has H&R Excell and it has been really good.

I landed an older near mint Berreta AL-2 for like $225 earlier this year.. I haven't shot it yet, but man is it pretty, it'll be great for teal later this year... turkey even later, and probably some quail.. I checked on gunbroker and it appears I kind of stole it

Beretta/Benelli owned, heavier barrel, improved action spring location. Absolute best buy for the $$.

How about Mossberg 590A1? I only shot about 100 rounds through it but it's seem like a good shotgun.

There are a lot of good choices, but I would would choose the 11-87 again. Rugged and reliable, good selection of barrels and accessories.

Mossberg 930 (NOT the 935).

These are the two cheapies I've had good luck with.

But shoot, probably any would work fine.

By the way, yes the 1100 and 1187 are good, but I wouldn't consider them economy priced.

I believe the academy in OKC off of I240 had a Mossberg 930 for $379 hard to beat that price.
