I've never bought a gun online until this evening bought one on Gunbroker. So I need to find a local store that I can have the gun shipped to then they will transfer it in my name? Also on the shipping it will be $30 but will this cover insurance on a $1000 gun? I asked the seller about the insurance but don't have a reply yet.

Normally there is insurance built in to the shipping cost by the shipping company (usually UPS) so I wouldn't worry too much about it. There is a place on GB where you can find FFL holders in your area that will receive shipments.
Reddog1 is about a 30 min drive from downtown Claremore.
And his hours are very flexible after 5pm when most gun shops are closing up.
Reddog would be a good choice if you don't mind the drive, but I thought we had a member here who is a FFL in Claremore.
I believe that's only $100 unless you specifically request, and buy, more.
I'm pretty sure you're right. It used to be $1000 in coverage, IIRC, but it dropped to $100 at some point over the last 20 years.
