Cox DOCSIS 3 internet is smokin'

Cox offers the Cisco modem for $80 but I opted for the Motorola from Best Buy for $99 because 1.) I'm partial to Motorola's modems, and 2.) I had a $35 dollar store credit to blow at Best Buy anyway.

I think you can find the motorolas online for cheaper.

I get internet and phone from Cox. Do they have a DOCSIS 3 modem that can handle the phone?
PS I live in Tulsa and I don't know whether it is available here yet.

They have an Arris docsis 3 combo modem.

Just talked to their tech. Not sure we communicated well. According to her, I can buy a DOCSIS 3, use a splitter to split the signal, leave the original modem hooked for the phone and also hook up the new that will give me higher speed internet. She thought I'd have to pay more.

Yes that is correct you have to have 2 modems. At this time
