Disel vs reg fuel freshness

I miss the the old No.2 Diesel back in the day,this new fuel not so much.

Keep the tank full, use a product like power service additive and maybe use a diesel fuel biocide if you are worried about storage but it should be ok regardless.

with stabilizer gas can last 2-3 years and diesel can last up to 10 years, the rule of thumb is the more refined it is the shorter the shelf life. Also gas bought in the winter months will store longer that gas bought in summer because they put more butane in it for easier starting

...and we only drive it once in June and once in December.

Change the fuel filter(s) or at least keep a spare handy.
