Pick when the vines die back.

IF you got some making new plants, leave them and pick the rest.

Have seen some not bloom before, the taters tend to be smaller and not as many.

I picked some yesterday because the vines were died back, turns out my dog who loves potatos has been "assisting" me in pulling them also... we busted her yesterday eating new potatos, right out of the pot. The soil is nice and loose and she has been literally pulling them up and helping herself to them. The little twerp! I also caught her in my strawberry patch this spring doing the same thing. She is to smart for her own good. all of the ones I got were pretty small. One that was decent sized under the dirt and had gone completely soft and rotten :-/ I let the ones that had little plants growing out of them stay. We'll see how it goes!
