My son flung an arrow at a doe about 6:10. We just bumped her. Blood everywhere. I don’t know how she’s even able to get on her feet. We’ll be back in the morning dang it.

Only have a couple forks and one basket 6 on cam. So the big doe is #1 on hit list. She in there allll the time. Are these all shooters to y’all? And yes I’m slinging corn by hand. Just got permission to hunt this a week ago. So I’m way behind.
Thanks, she made it off the property. I smelled the arrow, smelled of gut shot. The blood, although there’s a lot, looked more opaque than it should be.
I have texts in to the other landowner for access permission.
I take the opposite approach. I don’t shoot many does like I used to, but if the damn heifer blows and stomps her foot, she’s dead.

To answer the original question, I try to only shoot mature seemingly barren does…unless one blows at me.
