Don't Know My Snakes.. but Here's One that I Came Across..

I was (almost) the first in line at the Post Office the other day but this little critter beat me there and was blocking the doorway. I found a stick and moved him out to the grassy side of the building , snapped a pic and then left.

Looking at the pic, I'm wondering just what type of snake it is.. When you zoom in you can get a better look at him..

Yep, rat snake. Lots of them in Okla. They is one of the good ones, but can scare the bejeebers out of you if you don't see them before getting really close. You did good, letting it go.

That looks like Copper mouthed rattle moccasin. Very agressive, talks alot, but really of no great use to society. AKA -a Democrat

It looks like one of those 2 ended round in the middle snakes. We went to the range the other morning. My buddy started making noises you make when you step in or on something you didn't want to step in or on. I asked what happened, he said he stepped on a little snake. "What kind is it", I asked. He said it was one of those flat in the middle snakes.
