Been a long time since I was dove hunting. Usually save my time off for deer season.
i was going but this rain just washed out the road,i cant walk the 1/2 mile to get to the field..

Yup. You can almost guarantee that it will rain the day before or the day of the opener when you ambush them on ponds.

I'm going to miss it tomorrow. It's tough for me because it is my dad's birthday. We always went hunting on his birthday since I was 9 years old. This is only the third opening day I've missed since he died fifteen years ago.
