When I was a real youngin' went to see 'Diamonds are Forever' with the babysitter (a cousin) and her boyfriend. Went with Mom and Dad to go see 'Serpico'. Mom stuck me on the floor in front of her and covered my ears. These were 'new' releases at the time.

Lots of good times in high school, first date with the wife at one as well but no idea on the movie, she'll likely remember though.

I remember back in the late '50's and early '60's going to the local drive-in movie theater in Suffolk, Va.. There was a fence down the middle of the theater. The white folks went in on one side and the black folks on the other side. The snack bar was the same way. The front side of the screen looked like the big old Southern home with the columns and front porch. The name of the theater was "The Plantation".

First movie I remember going to was "True Grit" at the drive-in with the family. First real date went to see Rambo at the drive-in, although we didn't watch the movie.
As a child, went to see True Grit with the family at the Twilight Gardens drive-in; Britton and May Ave, The Village.

Frequented Hillcrest Drive-in and Winchester drive-ins in OKC when I was a kid. In High School we went to the Riverside Drive-in at Norman, never remember actually watching a movie there though, it was a party spot.

Yep, I remember them. Had some good times back in the day. At one time Muskogee had three, now all long gone. And come to think of it, I remember seeing Dr No and From Russia with Love double feature when I was a little guy in Texas City around 1965, the mosquitos were horrible.

We had two in Ponca. Skyline and Airline drive-ins.
The skyline folded first because of homes built behind it. As a teenager, made some money shooting pidgons from the structure supporting the screen and free admission.
The airline folded and was resurrected 6 or so years ago. It didn’t make a year.
Nobody wants to pay for a B movie when they can watch porn for free.
