I went to scout my hole that I hunted last year on public land. The trail that I used to take had weeds over 6 foot high and THICK. I was soooo disappointed. Called the biologist for that area and he said they'd try to have the brush hog out there this week to knock it down but I'm not too hopeful for that. Looks like I am going to be pond hoppin for the first part of the season.

We have been doing rather well...

29 Saturday, 10 Sunday.

Mixed bags of Mallards, GW teal, Ringnecks, Gaddys and 2 Cans!

Even had some Cinnamon teal give us a fly by while we were picking up deeks... but no one was ready!

We have noticed that the small ponds that are lower in "valleys" so to speak are holding more birds that the bigger ponds or detention dams.

Lets see what this colder week has to bring!

On the Wash, No geese taken on Saturday, Sunday was a different story. We heard geese flying over camp all night Saturday. We took 8 Canadas Sunday, one bird shy of a three man limit.
