guess I got to go against the grain here. You car was parked outside on their lot, but was not in their control for a repair? you didn't say here are my keys see you tomorrow? you simply parked on their lot. If so, then I would guess you are out of luck, not sure why anyone would think different, simply cause it is parked on their lot. You wouldn't get a good response out of a 7-11, an apartment complex or walmart either. If it was given to them for a repair, then they are responsible, though most shops have signs that say not responsible for theft, etc.

They did not have car custody and control of your vehicle. File a vandalism claim with your insurance and explain why you already replaced all damaged/stolen items and send them the pictures.

They have no liability it's on you. Is what it is.

It would have been checked in if the service center had been open, but I definitely see your point.

It's probably just bad luck. Life goes on.

Security guard hasn't said anything about it. Dealership claims they aren't liable because they have signs in the bays that say "Not responsible for damage/theft" etc... However, the car was parked outside because they were closed. Car was parked out of camera's view....?

I'm thinking about consulting a lawyer to see what the deal is. It all seems off to me.

Figured I'd poll OSA experience before lawyer though

Lol an attorney isn't going to do jack. The dealership isn't liable. If it was broken into on a street would the city be liable? File it on your home owners insurance, throw in a few extra things and move on.
