No, that was either the Greatest Generation or the Boomers. Gen X was the first generation worth protecting with car seats.

I had a meeting with a windshield when I was 4 or 5. My thing was standing up in the front seat. Dad had to slam on the brakes. He tried to catch me but I went over his arm.
