Very nice. I’m a big fan of Savage rifles and also the .243. Great round with a wide envelope for usage from prairie dogs to elk. From less than 50 yards to out beyond 1,000.

My first rifle was a Browning BAR in .243. I got it in '73. I've gotten some 3/4 inch groups with it. Not sure if it would still do that, I just can't hold steady from a bench anymore. I also have a borrowed Remington 660 in my safe in .243. It is a shooter for sure. It will go back to the family one of these days. It belonged to my cousin's husband, he recently passed away, so I will give it to his son. For some reason the 660 got some bad reviews in the gun mags, but I really like this one.

I bought a Savage Axis for my son in .243, and a Ruger American .243 for my granddaughter when she outgrew her single shot youth rifle in .223.

So I reckon you could call me a .243 fan.
