Nah, it is this one. http://www.amazon.com/Spyderco-Native-Lightweight-Plain-Knife/dp/B0002IO16E

It was a gift from my lady friend so I gotta keep it anyway.

I really want your bone collector. I wish you would have listed it before i bought the barrage.

Yeah - it's by far my favorite knife benchmade makes. I wish it had a more traditional drop-point, but other than that - I had no complaints with it. I just rarely got it out - it had a Spyder-hole which made me want to choke up on it as if it had a choil (since all my Spyderco knives have a choil in the front of the blade's tang).

I've bought and sold a lot of Benchmade knives and there just really aren't a lot that do anything for me aside from one or two models (and several that they don't make anymore).

I've had a spring break on an Axis lock (great lock design, but held together with crappy little springs - it becomes very hard to use when you break a spring), and I've had several come from the factory with the worst edge I've ever seen on a factory knife. I've had a few with pretty bad fit/finish - which is inexcusable for the price (I've yet to buy anything from Benchmade that wasn't more expensive than its comparable Spyderco - often with the Benchmade having cheaper steel/materials). Not trying to start a brand-debate or knock Benchmade as a brand, but from some of their older knives I've handled (that belonged to friends) to the knives I've purchased new... there's a huge difference in quality (and bang-for-buck factor considering the price they used to sell for compared to today's prices).

That Bone Collector had the best edge of any Benchmade I've purchased and its fit/finish was great and I love D2 - I've gotten to handle an older 710 in D2 and it was pretty impressive. But I went to buy a new 710 at a gun-show a year ago and it was not the same knife at all - fit/finish was terrible and it had a very dull edge (and it was priced about three-times what my friend's 710 cost several years ago).

I hated to sell that Bone Collector, but I'm excited to get this ZT 0350 Composite/ZDP-189 in. I've got too many knives that I don't use and I think that 0350 is going to get some serious use. I've got a Blue Para-2 (M390 Steel) and an Orange Para-2 (CTS-XHP) coming in (and a ZT 0561 Rick Hinderer design in ELMAX), and if they don't stop putting out Sprint runs, I'm going to go broke in a hurry.

I bought a Mini-Barrage (585) a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. I went ahead and bought the big brother (580) tonight. I like Benchmade and have numerous others as well that are solid performers. The Mini-Barrage just feels right in my hand and fires solid and fast.

If you are still looking for the Para-Military you might try Knifeworks.com. If you find you like the Barrage on their site, the BR549 discount codes knocks another 25% off. You can get the barrage for a little under a hundred shipped.

That is pretty tempting! I did order one of the Paramilitary 2 sprint runs, and I have a Tenacious on the way to tide me over.

I think that I would like the Barrage, just not sure I want an assisted-opening knife.

I totally understand. I have owned probably hundreds of knives since my childhood. From the first day I received the mini-barrage, I have been sitting on the couch, driving my truck, driving my route truck and walking around the house flipping this dang knife open. It has become my "crack", I honestly wish I hadn't made such a impulse purchase.
