Got all of my food plots in this weekend. I can usually get it all done in a single day but I was plagued with breakdowns this weekend so it took me a little over 2 days.
I had about 3 1/2” of rain a week earlier so I was able to plant into moisture, however working the ground dried it out some so a good 3/4 or inch of rain in the next couple weeks would be ideal.
This is my favorite stand and location, being able to see two different winter food plots and a clover field. Views of the blind and from the blind.

This is a new plot this year. It sits between the creek and a major ditch/wet weather stream. I have been working on it for 2 years and was able to get it into BFOs, Austrian winter peas and turnips. The deer already hit the feeders hard AND this is 100 yds out the front door of my cabin.
There is also a clover field across the creek to the north, which is visible from the main tower blind.

And the last one is the 1 1/2 acre field directly in front of my cabin. This one is just in winter wheat as it’s main purpose is a firebreak for the cabin. Deer graze it all winter and the dog likes to watch them from the porch or the window.
I would have liked to have waited a couple more weeks but this past weekend was literally the last free weekend I had before October.
Yeah I'll probably be doing mine and others in the middle of the night again this year lol. If we had 3.5" of rain I would have been putting mine in to this last weekend too.
