who likes em? they seem unnessecary and awkward for me and seem to create drag on the way out of the holster. what are your thoughts and is there any real benefit?

I agree, they seem to dress the gun up a bit but really serve no purpose..but hey, they look great in the movies and in gun layouts.

I use them during slide lock reloads on guns.
It's very fast, consistent, and will work on any gun. It's my secret lefty weapon.
