I have had them and can see useful on certain applications. Howeve, I like my 191l's (A1) without them. Just me though.

On a 6" gun I think they're actually a lot more useful than the rear ones.

I waited extra time on my WC CQB to have it built without them. I think they ruin the lines. With that being said, I have both with and without.

I had to have a slide with front serrations. Youd be amazed how much you use them when they are there. Now fiddling with a non-front-serrated 1911 feels wrong.
