Yep, Farm Ponds and creeks. We hit Tenkiller and the River every year with grandparents growing up. Camped at Snakecreek and Grandpa would take us to the cliffs to jump off of.

We have had pools. For several years we built pools. And with that we removed a lot of pools too! They are work, but they will keep your kids and their friends home so you can keep an eye on them.
Like you said....we gotta be related somewhere down the line. My lake house was at Chicken Creek and my boat was in the third slip from the front door/ icebox at Snake Creek marina. Had my RV over at Sparrowhawk on the Illinois for years. Use to burn the highway up going back and forth.

Spent a lot of 'younger'years.....probably up until 40, swimming and water skiing. In college I wasn't much of a 'Jock" so for my PE type classes I took bowling !!LOL and Water Safety and LIfe Saving. Got certified for that but never used it, but if you ever got in trouble in the water you might wish I was around.

Last time I was in the water was in 1969- with an aircraft carrier holding me safely above the waves. Since then, it hasn't been a time when I was in the water deep enough to require swimming. It was good exercise, however, fighting the current when I pulled the plug on the bath tub.

My cousins and I learned to swim at the OKC park pools as a kid in the summer. We had a cabin at Lake Eufaula and did a lot of boating ,fishing, and swimming as a kid.

Our friends converted their pool from chlorine to salt water and really like it better.
Been thinking of changing our over to a salt gen pool, especially in light of the HIGH cost of chlorine over the past 2-3 yrs.

Have your friends had any issues with the salt water messing up the plumbing or filtration systems in the pool? I’ve heard that’s an issue, and the reason why my mom’s retirement community went back from salt water to chlorine in their pool.

A Salt Water pool might suit you guys better than a Chlorinated pool.

The OKC Senior Wellness Center has a Salt Water Pool. It’s one of the MAPS projects. NW 115th & Rockwell. Got to be at least 50 to get in.
Isn't the conversion to salt just another way to generate chlorine? I really haven't checked into how those work.

Sounds like one of our RV friends. He was helmsman on the USS Enterprise for several deployments. He never wants to see the ocean again.
He's probably gonna hate where we are all going this coming winter.....
