Congrats to your grandson on his first deer! Great rifle too. Did you recover the bullet from the deer? I'm interested to see how well it mushroomed or if it broke apart. There will be some deer die with mine this season.

Didn't find the bullet, fished for it a little though. XTP's have performed excellent for me in the past. The deer was quartering to us, bullet could have been in his hind quarter.
