Gun Registry

In the Sunday Oklahoman page 2A Mike Blackwell of Big Boy's Guns & Ammo mentions about a gun registry.
This is the first I have heard about a gun registry.
Is this something being considered?

I saw this as well when reading the paper last night. I looked through the rest of the paper and didn't see any further mention of it. I don't know if the paper printed something he said out of context (wouldn't suprise me), or that the owner actually supports some type of registration. If it's the latter case, I would not be going to that shop again.

he was talking about a registry of people who are ajudicated mentally ill, right now oklahoma law prohibits sending info about people who have been ajudicated mentally ill to the federal registry ,so they don't show up on the nics check like a criminal record does
