Yea every year I do a little something for Halloween, inflate the wife's turkey for Thanksgiving and go a little nuts at Christmas. I had to scale that back a little since they do not want me on a tall ladder so I can not put lights over the garage.

This is last year's Christmas. The tree is made from a piece of EMT, stainless wire and lights.

That's fun! I might come trick or treat at your house! I'm excited for Halloween this year. It's my 1st year home in at least a decade. I even ordered an inflatable that kinda looks like this goober.

Still working on it. Got it up tonight with a struggle in this wind. I had to add conduit pieces for bracing. Got off my ladder and it blew over with a gust of wind into the alien knocking it over. About a 30 minute repair session and it's back up.

I used steel wire attached to the T's and a 8 inch diameter hose clamp for a center hub to keep the PVC pipe round and tight on the umbrella.

I added heavy wire as another brace around the steel wire secondary ribs to reinforce them about one half of the radius of the steel wires. This support also gave me an additional circumference inside to run some more lights.

All of the bottom is going to be covered with a plastic painting drop cloth. Still trying to figure out how to attach this.

The rope lights are going to be the weapon beams attacking the ground.

I immediately thought of Star Trek Next Gen., Encounter At Farpoint. I need to get out more.

OKLAHOMA WINDS HOSTILE TOWARD UFO IN SNATTLERAKE'S YARD!

DAMAGES SHIP, ALIENS STUCK IN OKC!

The recent UFO landing and visitation in OKC
was interrupted by a typical Oklahoma greeting.
Fourty eight MPH winds tore off the top side of
the UFO setting it to flutter in the breeze.
@Snattlerake, of OKC said, "I had checked on the
UFO last night before bed. It was fine at 2 a.m."
"This morning before my errands, the top had
come loose and was happily flapping in the wind."

After two hours, Snattlerake returned home and
saw major damage to the extraterrestrial craft
and noticed the alien was outside pushing, keeping
it upright. The two beings fought valiantly cutting
away the damaged material but to both, they
finally realized it was a lost cause.

Snattlerake noted it even broke a major spar on
the craft, and bent the chrome moly post inside
the central mount that was keeping it upright.

Snattlerake said he tried waiting for the wind to
die in between gusts but while lifting up the
craft, he almost took flight hanging on the outside.

Unfortunately, there was no footage of this,
but judging Snattlerakes heartbeat, this reporter
believes him.
