At the Ponca Range, we have a gentleman with no legs at the hip that shoots Steel challenge with our range. He places in the top quartile.
Did I mention he is the Chief of Police in Derby Kansas?

Not sure if I met the same guy, but he was a Chief of Police somewhere in Kansas, also no legs and outshot EVERYONE in the Firearms instructor class I was in. Hell of a nice guy too.

great place to start would be heartland matches on the 1st and 3rd sunday of the month (it is a "carrygun" match), it is very easy, friendly, fun match...

I think there is two guy's in the gunmithing class in wheelchairs. Don't let it stop you, I was using crutches for over three years and did some IDPA style shoot's

I have a fellow in my class that is in a wheelchair and he does it all; fish, hunt, shoot.

There was a man in the Enid area who lost both legs in an industrial accident, he traveled the U.S. and shot trap, skeet, sporting clays and made several trips in the fall to SD and NE hunt pheasant. I've seen him shoot 25/25 on the trap range, wheel over to the skeet range and shoot 25/25 with his trap gun! And that trap gun had a release trigger!
