I may disagree with some of the minutiae in his mechanics, but he is spot on. Assuming we do not have another Incidence of Stupid, ammunition will be plentiful. I am down to 1,500 rifle bullets to load and have no pistol bullets. However, I am sitting on a lot of loaded and factory blammo. The first Stupid taught me well.

My problem is I buy some extra ammo with the intention to build my stockpile up a little bit, but then I go all bat-crap-crazy and shoot it up.

This last frenzy even convinced my wife that I am not completely crazy for having my ammo "stash".

She doesn't shoot anywhere near as much as I do, but in seeing all the empty shelves every time we went by Wally World she finally came around to realize that the time to buy is when it is on the shelves. The time to buy extra is when ammo is plentiful and available.
