How to Increase Photo Resolution?

I'm trying to post a pic on another website and it says "low resolution - uploads a photo of at least 500 pixels wide".

I don't even know what this means much less how to do it. Little help here please?

You need to resize it so it's bigger. Do you have some photo editing software?

Try this...

Right click on the picture
If you see "Edit" in the popup menu
It should probably open in Windows Paint
If it does, select the Home tab, then click Resize
Select Pixels
Set Horizontal to 500 pixels
Make sure Preserve Aspect Ration is selected
Click OK
Save it. You can change the name if you want to preserve the original picture

Hop on pixlr, scale the size. Won't be higher resolution, but will be the required size.
