Benefits should be equally applied, all right. How about zero. No EBT, no housing assistance, no WIC. If I procreate, it's my responsibility. If a chick gives birth, baby daddy ain't willing to take responsibility, then she has a tough deal. Lesson for those that follow.

Perhaps living with our choices may be tough, but it might make us choose better after a generation dies off.

Great idea, but where would the democrats find voters then?

And yet the GOP holds more states then it has in many decades.

People are starting to get fed up, but it seems patriots are often sadly groups that are not growing demographically. Now anyone can love the country and freedom, but it seems many who swallow socialism are more likely to look like the President.

This is fun.

No one will give up their ox, but are more than willing to shoot other's oxen.

"Civil Rights" has become a euphemism for "Look ove here, this is the problem/issue. Pay no attention to that which will destroy us".

Everybody says " Yeah, BUT (add your own taxpayer sponsored program here. The list is long and shameful.)"

We all, including Libertarians (who want legislation to tell the .gov to leave us alone, except for "certain things" which may be unconstitutional), want something from the Federal Magister.

No matter how disgusted we become, we will NOT practice en-masse Civil Disobedience. We will continue to pay our Masters for our chains.

We WILL, however, continue to air our grievances in forums like this until that 'privilege' is removed (we lost our rights in the last century) and then we will, heads down, mutter quietly to ourselves.

Welcome to the New Order of the Ages, Y'all.

Bullhockey! The GOP has been fighting giving equal rights to gays for decades. How are they fighting left wing ideals, by forcing their perception of Christian values on the American people?

The GOP is dead with little hope for resurrection without flushing the old turds from the party. This isn't the 1950's where the people that scare us hide in closets. They're out in the open and want what is due them.

With the option here of raising a question with the dreaded words, "slippery slope," are we to see in the future that the proponents in agreement with NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) will want their "equal rights?" Or, is there no point at which we will say that "equal rights" has reached its limit?

Are we at the point of saying that advocating a "code of conduct" is wrong?

Until hetro's step up to the plate and start adopting kids we should probably leave this one alone. A loving home with gay parents has got to be better than no home and no love at all.

Presuming that your use of the word "hetro's" means heterosexuals, have you any credible evidence that heterosexual couples are not adopting kids? If you do, I'd really like to see it. Otherwise, I call BS on this entire statement as I know a lot of heterosexual couples that have adopted children. Some have adopted kids of another race or from other countries. One couple even adopted three at once (a brother and two sisters) because they couldn't see tearing apart what little "family" those three kids still had.

I would venture to guess that most heterosexual couples get married with the thought of creating a family and when they can't for some reason, they take up the option of adopting, thus still being able to "create" a family.

consenting adults...

anyway, far as i'm concerned, government should get out of the marriage business altogether. leave it to the adults involved, and the various religious institutions to endorse or not.

that's the difference between legalizing gay marriage and giving pedophiles "equal rights."
consenting adults.
no slippery slope.

why are none of the gay marriage opponents opposed to cousin marriage? its legal in about half the states, and you don't hear much opposition to that, even though its freaking gross...
