I did not realize this about the Glock I purchased.

I did not realize when I purchased this Glock 34 Gen 3 at the Ada Gunshow from a FFL that it was a made in Austria Pistol, New in the case. He was one of the larger dealers and he had a ton of Pistols, I told him that I was looking for a Gen 3 Glock 34, So he went to looking at all the Glocks he had under his tables(Yes he had a lot) and found one,Yep surprised myself today when I took it out of the safe to wipe it down

On the pistol it states right on it made in Austria.

I googled where are Glocks made and found the GLOCK 42 is USA and lead me to this.

I’m confused. I was under the impression most glocks were made in Austria. Especially Gen 3’s.

Glock didn’t start making a few in the USA until the Gen 4’s came out. As was stated above, then 42 was made exclusively here in the US because of a import point system that the .380 was never able to meet if I recall correctly.

Yes, most Glocks are and have always been made in Austria. All but one of mine (and I have a lot) we’re made in Austria. But really, there’s no difference at all.

I had a 19 Gen4 with the little Georgia stamps on the slide.

Gunshop has a 43 and a 43X, one made in Austria and one made in USA.
Post lirus I’d stick with Austrian made

IIRC the 42 was the FIRST Glock made in the USA. I have one, my wife loves it I hate it, feels “KelTec cheap” IMO.
If they would send some double stack .380s over they would sell like hot cakes they feel like “real” Glocks and shoot like em too lol
