I love the old shotguns too... They are like bourbon... just get better with age. I will be calling Remington next week to see for sure what I have. If it's not worth much more, I will be dove and rabbit hunting with it. Either way its a cheap gun!

I think that is a model 10 takedown. It was used in WWI with a 20" barrel. Like the Ithaca 37 it ejects out the botton of the receiver. It looks like a Browning design but actually it was designed by John Petersen. Nice old shotgun.
Nearly positive it is a Model 10, would be even cooler if there's a way it was used in WW1

I know we are off on another subject now, but anyone have any idea where I could possibly find an original buttplate for this gun? I've found several repros but no original. Think maybe Remington still has old original parts?
