That's my understanding as well.

I've had the "inferior" DPMS for several years now.
Never had a problem in any form and is at least MOA accurate.
I'm pleased.

That bug has been doing a lot of biting!!!! I'm looking at the sig716 patrol rifle.

I almost got one but I already have the 516 and decided I wanted a longer barrel for a 308 than 16"...but for the money, they had a DPMS at acadmey today in 308/16" short gas system for 999.00!!! Good price.
