The clerk at the big box sporting goods has been trained by their management to not accept anything but a CA ID that meets REAL ID Act standards. That's not the fault of CA (well, it is because they made the law), it's just a business wanting to be more compliant than the minimum standards listed. As a private business, that's their choice.

The bigger issue is that CA refuses to implement the same standards for voting because it would deny low income voters the ability to vote. They obviously don't mind denying low income citizens their 2nd Amendment rights though. :rolleyes2

Because then they couldn't keep putting their commie brethren back in office to further destroy what was once one of the most beautiful places in this country.
