There wouldn't be pin issues.The barrel is not Colt and looks like it would need to be drilled for FSB pins.You might have a hard time finding a lower to color match.You could probably find a reasonable priced SP1

Why would you ever buy one? The cheapest you'll get a receiver for is maybe $99 and by the time you put it all together with outdated parts you'll have about as much in the rifle as it would take to buy a new already assembled AR-15. In this case, I don't think old is really better.

Aren't the takedown pin holes smaller on A1 era M16 uppers?....thought that wasn't common to currently available lowers.

If it is a M16 A1 upper it will have standard pins the Colt AR15's had the large hole screw in front pivot pin for several years.A bushing and or a smaller screw pin will inable you to swap any upper/lower

don't ATF still have the rules about no M16 hammer, trigger, disconnector or bolt carriers allowed.
If you have to change out all that stuff its over priced junk.
