My Dad has a shotgun he got from his Great Granddad and we were wondering if anyone might know anything about it. It is marked on side of reciever "James Constable" other than that there are no marks except "Stub Twist" On the barrel. It is a blackpowder shotgun as it has a wooden ram rod. Also has hammers. 2 triggers. Side by Side. Not even sure of gauge but bigger than a 20gauge. Our guess was 16 or 12. Any info would be great. Hes had it hanging on wall for my life and there is a scratched in "1866" on the buttstock
