Unarmed security guard may have saved many lives when he drew the shooters attention away from the crowd. The security guard was wounded but able to inform police of his location.

Also interesting article from anti-gunner that did some research

Thats amazing that the unarmed security guard only got a leg wound when the shooter unleashed over 200 rounds at him in that hallway.

I just read an article from the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the shooter broke out the 2nd window to allow direct shots on aviation fuel tanks located nearby. It went on to state that the tanks were damaged by gunfire, but that the rounds had not penetrated the inner tank(s) preventing puncture. I ASSUME, he was trying to set off large explosions to do even more carnage.

Sherrif Lombardo had an interesting press conference tonight....

There was no suicide note.

Paddock had a plan to survive and escape.

There must have been accomplice(s) ... refused to elaborate.

Paddocks car contained tannerite and ammonium nitrate in containers.

Suppose someone had retrieved that tannerite and anfo from the car and placed it near the aviation fuel tanks?
Suppose a few .308 rounds hit that tannerite?
Suppose that someone never showed up and the .308 rounds never found tannerite targets that were supposed to be there?

There has been speculation that he was gonna mix up the tannerite and drive into the crowd as an alternative, setting off the tannerite after wreaking havoc to cause additional casualties. Of course, that is all speculation by the media.

With his amount of available funds, I'm surprised he didn't smuggle in a .50 with some spotter rounds to light those tanks off. Maybe too hard to smuggle in.

Jet fuel = kerosene. I'm thinking an incendiary round might light it off after it leaked from the tank, but don't know how "explosive" that would be

Imagine the escaping crowd filling the area near the tanks and then they explode, damn! Those tanks are about 700 meters from the window, well within lethal range of a .308. Wonder if he knew they were double tanks?
