Ya, but don't you live in Alaska? I picture you living out in the bush. so a lady 2 doors down puts a big hole in my theory....Speaking of 2 doors down..my old neighborhood....Ppl put everything but the kitchen sink out and it would sit for months...eyesore.

I'm not that tough. I have 4 grandchildren that live here in Anchorage that mean the world to me. So my bush dwelling is limited to May through September. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I take my 2 year old granddaughter to story time over at the library. I lead the little tots in reciting Itsy Bitsy Spider and I'm a Little Tea Pot. But if it helps I've been tracking a couple of bears that just came outta hibernation over off Rovers Runs trail on the weekends. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures this weekend.

I've done that a few times. Had some 86 supra wheels, put them out by the road and they were gone quick, my grandmas 32in TV that the picture tube went out on, same deal. I put it by the dumpster and it was gone in a few minutes. Put an old push mower out by the road and my neighbor took it lol.

My buddy had a bed frame, and night stand he wanted to get rid of. The trash people wouldn't pick it up, so he put an ad on Craigs list, free, at the curb. Within 15 minutes it was gone.

While moving into a house a few years back, my dad and I unloaded the contents of a trailer in the driveway, including a trash can filled with seasoned aquarium gravel. That can had to have weighed at least 75 lbs, and I set it down right outside the trailer, which happened to be near the corner of the driveway. My dad and I hauled some stuff into the house, and came back outside in time to see the garbage truck driving off to the next house. They had taken the gravel in the trash can.

That's a good idea. I "inherited" a push mower that my renters left behind. It runs but is taking up space in my shop. I think I'll make it disappear this weekend.

I could use a mower, but I think you are in the Tulsa area, right?

I put things out on curb all the time. They don't stay long in my neighborhood.

I have even picked up a couple of items that others have put out.

I took trash to the dumpster this morning and i pulled out a nice big shovel and a nice post hole digger.
People will toss anything...The handles are in excellent shape as are the heads on both tools.

My buddy put his 61" Mitsubishi DLP TV out and it was gone overnight. There was so much snow on the screen, you would have though you were watching an episode of Buying Alaska.

Mine too. I set it out in the evening, was out front having a smoke before bed and a raggedy van pulled up and asked in broken english if it was being thrown away. I said yes and helped them load it up. Thing wasn't worth the part to fix it.
