CDC is kicking around the idea of adopting pool testing.
Combine test samples from 20 people and test all of them together.

That's been done for decades.
China began using pool testing 3 months ago.
How else can you test 10 million people in 13 days?

We might get around to it eventually.
More testing might make us look bad though...that's the downside.

The honesty is refreshing.
No more "it will go away with the heat".
No more "it's 5 people and soon going to zero".
No more "the virus is contained nearly airtight".

Just learn to live with it because we aren't as capable as Canada or the EU or RoK or Japan.
It would be a lot easier if Americans expect less.

Exactly....

There's a 25 day incubation period
You can get this multiple times
There will be 400K deaths a year from this...
Don't wear a mask... they're worthless.....
Wear a mask... no matter what or you'll kill grandma
Don't worry about that mask when you're protesting...
OMG no masks at the Trump rally!!!

Yes.... learn to live with it. Because sorry.... some of us work for a living and life must go on.

Not saying don't go to work.

I want to know why people are having so much difficulty just getting a dam test so they know whether to go to work or avoid grandma?
Why is that so f***ing difficult?

And yet they got their infection under control while we just have to learn to live with it.

Well, they got overrun and people were dying because they had no equipment and beds. The virus gassed itself over there, which follows what we know about pandemics. We sheltered in place, and have had a second wave when we reopened the economy, coupled by a large amount of people gathering together to protest.

Yes. Learn to live with it. That means to me... go to work if you need to.... and take the normal precautions. Get tested as needed.

We squandered our shutdown and everyone went to Home Depot.
"Since I'm off work I might as well get my projects done".
We took the full economic hit and got only partial benefit from lower infection rate.

We don't have nearly enough testing capacity.
Infectious disease experts are unanimous on that.
And we aren't planning seriously to improve our testing capacity.
You know why?
Because we need to just learn to live with it. That's why.
