Yes I know it has been done.... BUT.... I can't get it through my thick head. IF I were able to get one could I use it? OR, is it available only to SOTs and the like?

Yes, you can buy a registered lightning link for about $7000 and use it in your AR. The cheap ones are either post-samples (SOT/LE/Mil only) or illegal ones. There is no cheap and legal way to go full auto.

Get off my lawn.
You also lose semi auto unless you get creative like quarterbore. Most LL installs are safe/full.

My choice for full auto AR goodness goes in this order.

1. RR
2. RDIAS
3. RLL

I think I'd rather have $7k in my pocket and a bump fire stock instead of a RLL.

I think I'd rather have $6650 in my pocket and a bump fire stock instead of a RLL.

Fixed it for you.
