It’s pre-model 10 that was my grandfather’s duty weapon. He worked for the BIA out of Tuba City on the Navajo reservation, Flagstaff (AZ) PD, and was a Santa Fe railroad detective before he died in 1962.

Well, ya learn something every day. I didn't think they started putting the billboards on their M&P revolvers until they were assigned model numbers. My dad's old Victory model just says MADE IN USA on the side.

The serial number puts in 1948-52 production.

Maybe I'll use this gun to take the snake that I'll skin.
