Looking for the lumens
So my chopped DPMS LR308 loves the Hornady 168gr BTHP Match rounds. I need a load that works in the AR10 so that I can duplicate the results I've gotten with the factory stuff. The factory load is giving me just over 1/2 MOA results out of my 18" barrel. The reason I mentioned the Noslers is because I'm having issues finding the Hornadys but not the Noslers. BC and other numbers are identical between the two bullets.

Anybody worked up a load that duplicates this factory round? I appreciate the help.

I have had good luck with Varget in my LR-308 16". With 165-168gr bullets 43gr of Varget (Win. brass and WLR primer) has been a good mild load with good accuracy (.5 to 1MOA). I think the FGMM is loaded with IMR4895, but I don't know about Hornady's match load.

I have used both the 168 BTHP Hornady and the 168 SMK. I prefer the sierra for no reason other than availability in quantity. I have not tried the A Max or Nosler. However I do like shooting the 155 A max as well.

Mike, what primers are you using?

ASP, are you using the Hornady bullets?

Thanks for the responses.

BR-2 match primers

lc brass too, by the way.

Im p[laying with some 110vmaxes and 130gr noslers, as well as hornady 150gr fmjbt bullets I got in bulk. Hopefully I can get the 150's accurate enough with aa2460 so that I dont have to trickle varget by hand.
