Yes I have one on my 3 gun AR. Also have one on my hunting AR. My 3 gun AR has seen more rounds, close to 4k, but I think my hunting AR has seen more abuse. No issues with either of them. I have removed them several times when dirt or mud gets built up on the barrel under the handguard. As long as you don't over tighten the locking screws, there shouldn't be an issue.
