It's time for a Loki complete uppers group buy!

Loki is a local Oklahoma company who produces quality AR styled rifles. Visit: http://www.lokiweaponsystems.com for more information on their rifles and for pricing information.

This group buy is for their complete uppers. I will be posting this on multiple boards and will be keeping track of the total numbers separately. I also have people interested who are not members of any of the local boards. You will see a running tally of "total from all sources" so everyone will know where we stand.

Group buy info.
  • All forged complete uppers are eligible. Also eligible are BEO uppers! (not listed on website) These will be the same price as the 264/Grendel forged upper.
  • We will need 25 complete uppers purchases to qualify for a 15% discount of their web price. Otherwise the discount is only 10%. I think we can easily get 25.
  • There will be a 9.5% sales tax and shipping is free if you are willing to pickup your rifle in either OKC or Tulsa. If you live out of state, you pay shipping but no sales tax.
  • Deadline for signups will be July 6. Payments will be due July 13.
  • Do not send payments Until we are over the 25 uppers mark or we are near the deadline. I will let you know when it's ok to start sending payment
  • There is currently a 10 week turnaround for uppers. The turn around time for these uppers will be expected to be around 15-20 weeks from the date he receives group buy payments. I would not expect these uppers until November.
The 15% discount is applied after all configurations for the upper is chosen. When calculating price, take the base price of the upper and add the additional costs for BCG, Fail Zero BCG, Cerakote, ect. Take that total and then apply the 15% discount. Take your new discounted price and add 9.5% tax and that will be the amount you should send me.
  • Price = Original price (including additional configurations, bcg, ect.) - 15% discount + 9.5% tax = Amount you send me

Please copy the whole list and add your orders to the list when posting. It makes it easier to keep track that way.

Bump! Did everyone from the loki interest all unanimously change their minds already? Rofl.

If you are interested and have every intention of participating in this group buy, please sign up. It helps me keep a running count and gives a good gauge on how many orders we will have and if we're on track to meet goals.

I just happened to search for the old thread and found this one. A PM to those who replied with a link to this thread would likely do the trick. Several people, myself included, were interested in a 300 blackout but it doesn't appear that Loki makes one. Bummer.

Don't know what website you're reading, but you're wrong.

Other than the rifle length uppers (3Gun, DMR, Varmint) nearly all of their uppers are available with a .300 blk option.

Why? call me nuts but I have a problem with being put 5 to 10 weeks farther behind other orders just because we are a group buy. Also, ( maybe I read the top post wrong) I really dislike financing someones business. they want to take and use our money for up to a half year? What happens if something happens to Loki between then and now? gun companies go tits up every day and there is little to no recourse after months have passed. I think for the same $ and a lot less time I'm just going to source the parts and build the same upper myself

We're not 5 to 10 weeks farther behind other orders because we're a group buy. ALL ORDERS ARE 10 WEEKS OUT MINIMUM AS OF RIGHT NOW. This wait is expected to get worse the closer to November we get. By the time July 13 rolls by and I submit payments, that time could increase to 15 weeks or 20 weeks. That is why I said 15-20 weeks in anticipation of the turn around time increasing by the time money is sent in July. Erik can't guarantee that turn around times will remain at 10 weeks 2 months from now.

If you called in and paid for an order today, you will be waiting about 10 weeks out before you receive your upper. In case you haven't noticed, but AR components are becoming scarce due to increase demand. Part of this is due to the upcoming election buying frenzy that has started. The fact that Remington just won a contract over Colt for another 24,000 M4 rifles may just add to the scarcity of parts. We are not financing someone's business for half a year. Even 6 months ago before the buying frenzy, it would still take a couple of weeks to a month for them to manufacture and assemble 20 or so uppers. They make these to order and each one is hand assembled. If you want an upper now, then theres quite a few sponsors of this website who specialize in AR's like Mark's or Cold Hand Arms. This group buy is for those who specifically want a Loki upper for a discount. If you just want an upper, I'm sure there's cheaper, more immediate options for you.

BCM website is out of stock on a lot of their inventory of uppers.
Daniel Defense has almost all their uppers listed as "Call for availability" meaning they're hurting to meet demand due to scarcity of components.
Joe Bob Outfitters is backordered on almost all their uppers.

About the only sites I know that still has a healthy inventory of uppers is Palmetto State and maybe Model 1 sales. Sorry, but if you have a problem with having to wait, then you'd better get the stuff now locally wherever you can now, because it will only get worse the closer to November we get. Loki right now is operating at peak and most of the wait is waiting on components.

As for assembling and sourcing your own parts, realize that you will be fighting over the same parts that these companies are fighting to buy in bulk. Brownells is out of many of the upper and lowers parts for the AR. So are many of the other retailers for uppers and lowers parts. I have no doubt that you will be able to build an upper with maybe the same amount of money and less time if you are more flexible of the component manufacturers and quality. I could probably build a complete rifle in 1 week ordering from Palmetto state and building a lower from parts bought here locally. That might be the best option if time is really that big of an issue.

You might want to check again. Most of the rifles have .300 blackout as a caliber choice in the dropdown menu in the configuration choices.
