Agree, but you are missing a generation.
You must be talking about one of Walter’s sons. Walter had the store on SW 29th near Agnew. I believe one of his sons ran the shoe repair in the far end in later years and another built custom boots in a shop next door.
Walter passed away 10-12 years ago. It was a couple of years after the shoe store was destroyed by a fire.
I’m pretty sure Gary is the one that has the place off SW Meridian.
It think it is his other son (Terry maybe) that has the shop on north May.
I lots of fond Memories of Walter between the mid 60s and the fire.
This is correct. Gary is the only one I have worked with, beginning in 2001 when I went to him for a pair of custom boots. That was in the old store before the fire.
That makes sense now. Bob and Walter were brothers. Walter would be in his early to mid 90s if still living.
