Magpul X-22 Backpacker

I was about to put my 10/22 Takedown up for sale because I have a couple that I enjoy shooting more than the Takedown. I have the X-22 Magpul stock on my favorite 10/22 and really like it. So, with Magpul's new X-22 Backpacker stock I may have to reconsider getting rid of the Takedown.

I made one. Volquartsen carbon fiber .920 barrel on a Magpul Hunter stock with 4x32 scope on cantilever mount. Very light, fast handling, and accurate.

I agree. The beaters seem to hold their value. It's been a while since I priced them, but last time I check you could get a receiver, bolt and charger for around $100 on gunbroker. There are several aftermaket receivers that look good but are pricey.

The threaded barrel would be a nice addition. I'm waiting on a Spectre II. Crap, now I'm thinking I may end up with another expensive 10/22. Volquartsen makes the carbon fiber barrel for the Takedown and it's threaded.

Scope or Red dot?

I like that model specifically because the 16" barrel (shorter and lighter), threaded (I have a .22 muffler), and it has sights.

Thats what I would like. As short and light as possible and threaded. I guess Ill have to watch gunbroker closer.
