Edit: my google fu shows 146,743,000 people currently in the workforce.

Is that 147mil employed, or 147mil in the workforce? Because in the workforce probably includes the 8% unemployed. So many employment statistics make everything so confusing. They should switch over to showing the percentage of the population employed and the percentage of the population not employed but looking for work. Those are the real numbers, but aren't so easy to manipulate right before an election.
